I came to El Cajon because I was completing an internship at Sharp Grossmont and needed somewhere to stay that wasn’t too far away. Mike and Dakee were very accommodating and baby Pema was adorable. I didn’t have a car so mainly used public transport during my time there to go to and from the hospital. Sometimes Mike would drive me in the morning which was greatly appreciated! They room was lovely and perfect for what I needed. It was nice to have an ensuite too and the views were beautiful. While I was there I told Mike how my room was very hot and he installed an air conditioning unit within 24hrs. The door locks, the room is private and you can spend as much time alone as you choose. The family took me hiking and to the grocery store too. The bus system was ok if you only needed to go somewhere during the day at consistent hours (e.g. to and from work) but it finishes early and the bus doesn’t come very often. It was manageable though!
