“Beautiful, clean, and peaceful place to stay!”
I had the pleasure of staying in Pema’s studio for a multi-month internship at UCSD Hospital. Coming from Texas and not knowing anyone in California was a little scary at first but the hosts, Mike and Dakee, made my stay very comforting and enjoyable. The room was clean, the neighborhood felt safe and peaceful, and the view was outstanding. One of my favorite things about this place was the beautiful view overlooking the city and mountains; it was great for sitting outside to do work or talk with friends when I wasn’t working.
Mike and Dakee do a great job of providing multiple gatherings for all of their guests, where we were able to meet new people, talk, and laugh while enjoying a meal or snacks. Having stayed for multiple months, they quoted me one price in the beginning and honored that price through my entire stay. Mike and Dakee are nice and trustworthy hosts and they made my stay one to remember forever. While I often had the opportunity to interact with Mike and Dakee, as well as other guests in the unit next door, I was still able to maintain my privacy in this quiet unit and peaceful neighborhood.
Out of the 5 units total, the hosts live in one and the others are dedicated to the support and care of guests in the medical field from all over. I would absolutely stay here again due to my wonderful experience during my multi-month internship, and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comforting, safe, quiet, and beautiful place to stay.
